About the artist...
Jan is founding director of 10 West Gallery. She comes from an artistic family, always surrounded by art and artists. Her Dad was a graduate of Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, a lifelong cartoonist and her mother explored many forms of art including ceramics, weaving and other fiber arts. Jan had a 25 year career in graphic design, all the while pursuing fine art media on the side: sculpture, figure drawing and painting. Her current passion is running 10 West Gallery, which leaves little time to create her own artwork. “Maybe next year!” is her motto.
